I'm thinking that the patch might not be the right one.ĭoes anyone have the wav file for original poly sounds? I'll keep trying though, maybe tonight will be the night. It's quite frustrating, as I've tried over and over and over again, mutiple times to load those patches, and as of yet, I've had no luck. Kronos 2-88, 01/Wfd, Virus TI Desktop, Casio VZ-10M,Įvent 20/20bas, Reverb 4000, Many Stompboxes. Oh, I know it goes without saying but make sure you have fresh batteries on the instrument or you lose your patches when you turn it off. Eventually, you're bound to get lucky (I did). If you can't get it to work with your ipod try the headphone output on your computer's CD burner (if it has one). So always check to see if your have sound even if you get the error message.

I remember that sometimes even though I got the error message the data would still load. I no longer have my Poly but the trick IS getting the volume just right (assuming your data file is good to begin with). Greetings! I have done this successfully from CD so I know it is not essential to use a cassette deck. I got this lovely new toy and I can't use it!
#KORG POLY 800 NOT LOADING HOW TO#
I know instructions say to use a tape deck, but I figured the ipod would be the same thing, since they both do the same thing (I'm figuring).Īnyone have any idea how to get those sounds loaded onto the synth? Should I ditch the ipod method and try a tape deck instead? While the sound is playing, being veryfied, the LEDs on the synth flickers. I keep getting an error on both verify and "load". I've tried every volume imaginable, on high, low, etc. I then tried loading the wav file using 1/8 - 1/8 jack, from the ipod to the synth. (I downloaded the wav file from 2 sites, and they were very similar) I found the factory presets, and downloaded the wav file onto my ipod. lost power to the internal battery, and the presets need to be loaded. Sometimes, depending on which sound I have it on, I'll hear some sound, but no where close to the factory presets.įinally, I figured out that the synth prob. I purchased a korg poly 800 a few weeks ago. Posted: Wed 6:20 pm Post subject: poly 800 help restoring factory presets Profile Log in to check your private messages Log in
